About The Human Skills Library
After years of teaching in classrooms across Australia, we’ve seen something shift.
In a changing world with new technologies, kids are more connected than ever, but they’re practising “human skills” less and less.
Their digital skills are strong, but they’re less confident communicating face to face, solving problems creatively, or showing empathy. Technology is automating the workforce, and it’s these irreplaceable human skills that will prepare kids for the future.
The Human Skills Library was born from a shared hope: to help children strengthen those human “muscles”. Through simple stories and practical guides, we aim to make essential skills, like critical thinking, creativity, empathy and resilience, tangible, familiar, and fun.
We want these books to spark conversations between children, families, and teachers about what’s needed to live, work and thrive in a changing world, and how we can nurture those habits together now.
Because human skills are too important to be left to chance. They grow when we name them, practise them, and come back to them together, again and again.
